The twin estates of Jungpana and Goomtee produce some of Darjeeling’s finest teas and this lovely complex of Jungpana is no exception. And this tea from the original Jungpana division is lovely to look at and a pleasure to drink, This tea is “not-to-be-missed,” if you can help it.  First of all, it has a lovely nose which is a blend of sweet white wine and good dry sherry, backed by an ensemble of roses and retsina for a light floral spiciness, a magnificent palette-pleasing splash of fermented honey. This may sound slightly over-the-top….but is it, really?  You won’t know unless you go for it!
