Michael, what have you been doing with your days?
Summer in Berlin:
- Biking everywhere
- Partying
- Meeting a ton of new people
- Sleeping in
- Casual sex and summer flings
- Leisurely breakfasts
- Having lots of lunch with people
- Dinners too
- Making career connections
- Also tea career connections
- Paying close attention to my finances
- Figuring out what I want to do next in my life
- A ton of paperwork to get my freelance artist visa to work in Germany
- Photographing, writing
- Drinking tea
Then back in San Francisco for 4 weeks:
- Realizing I was ready to leave SF and live in Berlin
- Organizing my uproot from SF
- Spending time with friends and family
- Visiting FontShop
- Planning my packing and move
- Selling my stuff
- Figuring out where I would stay in Berlin
- Analyzing my finances
- Sleeping in
- Some partying
- Some casual sex
- Drinking tea while being both anxious and excited about the FUTURE
Now that I’m in Berlin:
- Savoring the phrase I live here
- Reconnecting with people and telling them I live here
- Rekindling career opportunities
- Partying
- Sleeping in
- Casual sex
- Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, döner
- Looking into German classes
- Settling in at my October sublet
- Setting up new routines
- Networking to find a more permanent room to rent
- Biking everywhere
- Taking the train and staring out the window
- Comparing and contrasting autumn here to California
- Drinking tea while enjoying the fact that I don’t have to leave Berlin
