This was the first time in my life where I was not home to be online during an Apple product announcement event. In fact, I had even forgotten it was going to happen today. 

It’s oddly refreshing to have been out and about in my new life here for long enough that I had no idea it was happening.

Coming home to my flat and getting back to the internet I saw the news and took some time to savor the new and updated things. 

Years ago I remember Apple announcement days were even special in the office. We would purposely not schedule any meetings during a Steve Jobs Keynote so we could all have quiet time at our desks to follow along.
