Tea in Plänterwald, a forest in Berlin, with two good friends. I brewed a Chinese Yunnan (black) tea. The color of the brew complimented the surrounding colors. The tea cooled quickly allowing us to sip and easily enjoy a malty flavor, mixed with the aroma of a recently rained autumn forest.

Tea tasting cup set
These are standard tools for tea tasting. They’re most common for Indian teas but are often seen in other tea geographies around the world. The main cup with lid is used to brew the tea, then you set that sideways into bowl to pour. Afterwards you turn the main cup upside down quickly and the tea is thrown against the lid. Open and set back on top to reveal the leaves.

This is how you do tea for 30 people: tall paper cups, a teaspoon of a green or black tea loose in the cup. Instruct your guests to fill cup half way, leaving the top half more easy to hold. Remind them to refill their cup when empty. The leaves last several refills.
